Founded in August 2009, China Development Bank Capital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CDB approved by the State Council, specializing in investment and investment management. It stands as the only professional investment institution licensed for RMB investment in the Chinese banking sector, the comprehensive RMB investment institution with the largest registered capital and the most extensive customer network in China, and one of the most reputable Chinese investment and investment management institutions. CDB Capital is dedicated to serving the global development strategies of China and CDB, supporting Chinese enterprises in “going abroad” as well as actively promoting investments overseas. China-Africa Development Fund was established in June 2007 as a subsidiary wholly owned by the CDB with the approval of the State Council. It was proposed by President Hu Jintao during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in November 2006, as one of the eight policy measures to promote practical cooperation between China and African countries. As a special fund supporting Chinese enterprises investing in Africa and developing the African market, China-Africa Development Fund is the first fund announced by the Chinese president and launched by leaders of the State Council, and the largest private equity fund and the first equity fund in China dedicated to Chinese investments in Africa.
