This year's annual meeting of the BRICS Interbank Cooperation Mechanism has been held in Beijing.
This year's meeting looked at how development financing could help BRICS countries in the post-pandemic era. Representatives of banks from China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa, as well as the New Development Bank, attended the meeting. The president of China Development Bank, Ouyang Weimin, called for cooperation that could bring about stronger, greener and healthier economic development within the BRICS mechanism. Another CDB representative highlighted ways the banks could further their cooperation.
